Have you ever thought to ask the question, are parabens bad? Most people probably have no idea what these chemical agents are, what they do, or how it is that they can affect your lives. Everyone should be aware of these agents however, because what it is that they do to you is something should be of great concern.

These chemical agents are four parts of the same family, which are widely used as preservative agent in cosmetics formulas. You need to pay close attention as to whether or not the formulas that you are absorbing into your skin contain methyl, propyl, butyl, or ethyl parabens, because exposure to these four chemicals over an extended period of time could possibly kill you.

These chemical agents have been proven through the course of many clinical studies regarding there safety to cause the development of cancer. The executives of the cosmetics companies that use these chemicals will tell you that they are perfectly safe when asked are parabens bad. The evidence against them is difficult to deny however.

Cancer is not the only thing that these preservative agents could possibly do to harm you. They also have a powerful estrogenic affect on the body, which causes problems with your endocrine system. Although this is less harmful to you than the formation of tumors that these chemicals can cause, it is still alarming enough to question why these agent are allowed to be used in formulas designed to be absorbed by the skin.

When the question is posed to the heads of the European Union are parabens bad, the answer that you will get from them is yes. The EU has severely limited the use of parabens in cosmetics products, and in those being developed by the signers of the “Compact for Safe Cosmetics” there are none allowed at all. The Compact is an agreement between the EU, and the cosmetics companies to use nothing harmful in their products.

This why I would recommend only buying the formulas developed by the companies that have signed this agreement, before buying them from anyone else. Even those produced under the regulation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration can be hazardous to your health, because the court system in the United States has ruled that the cosmetics industry their can put pretty much whatever they want into their products.

So, the answer to are parabens bad is an overwhelming YES! What you need to do in order to protect yourself from the negative effects of these and other potentially hazardous chemical agents is use only skin care formulas that are 100% all natural. Plant based compounds are the safest you can use, and they provide your skin with the essential nutrients that you need.

Now that you are aware of the answer to are parabens bad, you can begin to go through your products at home and dispose of those that are dangerous. Then you need to find some formulas to replace them that are developed with your best interest in mind.

You may have heard of facial exercises or perhaps you are doing one right now. These exercises are designed to zero in on the muscles on your face. The routines may include squeezing the lips for several seconds, raising eyebrows for a prolonged period, flexing the cheeks and opening and closing the eyelids intermittently.

Facial exercises are supposed to help you keep a firm skin on your face and avoid unwanted lines and sagging folds. Many people, women especially, are crazy about these facial exertions. In fact, some women go to the extent of ordering instructional videos just to learn the routines; that is in addition to the overflowing information about this subject on the Internet and various women’s magazines.

Creators and believers swear by the effects of facial exercises in making the face look more beautiful and younger looking. Practitioners say that the concept is the same as doing grueling numbers of sit-ups and other abs workout to produce that chiseled and gorgeous tummy area; hence, if you want a better looking face, you better start doing workouts on your face area.

Skin experts, however, disagree. When asked if facial exercises really work, most dermatologists say that twitching and flexing all the vital areas on your face is not effective in toning the skin on your face nor is it forceful enough to eliminate wrinkles and unwanted creases. Unlike fat on your abs, where cutting back on food and doing sit-ups can be enough to tone the muscles in that area, skin problems on your face are more than just a muscular trouble.

To really know what will work on your face, you need to take a closer look at why all the spots and lines on your face exist. The following are the main factors that bring about all the spots and lines on your face. Failing to take them into consideration will turn your dream of attaining a more beautiful skin on your face into a big frustration. So here they are and pay attention.

Sun Exposure

The sun’s rays can melt a lot of things. If you do not believe this, try exposing a bar of butter under the sun and in minutes it will all be liquefied. The same thing happens to your face when you over expose it to sunlight. Not that your face will literally melt; but moisturizing substances in your skin will be depleted. The next thing you know, you have broken down skin cells which will be visible in the form of wrinkles, age spots, and dark circles under your eyes.

Drop In Collagen Levels

Basically, the problems you are having on your face come as a direct result of losing your skin’s elasticity. Aside from sunlight, age has a hand in making your skin lose its firmness too. But at the bottom of your skin’s loss of elasticity is the dwindling level of collagen in your skin. If you want to fix your facial and other skin problems, you need to increase your collagen.

Facial Contortion

Believe it or not, the way you contort your face when you express your ideas or sentiments can cause wrinkles, fine creases and sagging on your face. If you tend to frown most of the time, expect that the skin in the middle of your brow line will have one or two deep ridges. If you have to squint your eyes every time you have to focus on something, then chances are you have lines that resemble crow’s feet on the side of your eyes.

These three factors bring you everything that you hate on your face. And all the facial exercises that you do will not help you solve your problems because your workout just doesn’t deal with these factors. So instead of facial exercises, doctors say, you should apply products that are especially formulated to fight off unwanted lines and sagging skin on your face. For your eyes, you can try eye creams like Eyederma to eliminate eye bags and dark circles.facial exercises really work, most dermatologists say that twitching and flexing all the vital areas on your face is not effective in toning the skin on your face nor is it forceful enough to eliminate wrinkles and unwanted creases. Anti-aging products are those products that you apply to your skin or hair that can help reduce the signs of aging and can make you look younger and maintain a youthful glow. While its true that the market is invaded with so many anti-aging products, it doesn’t mean that all of these products are safe and effective to use.

Some of the products can put dark spots and add other lines on your skin while others are effective in concealing blotches, blemishes and wrinkles while moisturizing the dry skin. While other anti-aging products protect the skin from external factors and environmental stresses that increases the process of aging, others bring altering and damaging effects to the skin cells and can lead to various skin disorders and diseases.

Today, there are so many anti-aging cosmetic products available on the market, but before you finally decide to buy or use them, here are some tips that can help you test the effectivity of a specific anti-aging product:

1. It is best to listen intently and carefully to the effects and possible side effects of the anti-aging products that are being advertised.

2. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about the anti-aging product in order to find out what its advantages and disadvantages are.

3. It will pay to conduct some research on the anti-aging product before you finally decide in using and buying it. You can do this by surfing the Internet to know more about the product, talking to a professional cosmetician or by calling the Better Business Bureau to find out if there are people who have complained about the product after using it.

4. Don’t take into consideration the anti-products that have “Secret Formulas” or “Breakthroughs of the Century” on their labels because more often not, these are the products that can bring further damage to your skin.

5. Watch out for products that claim that they can cure various illnesses.

6. Don’t rely on testimonials and endorsements of celebrities because these are often misleading and fabricated by the manufacturer.

7. Don’t buy products that claim 100 percent guarantee. All products have side effects in one way or another that is why it is advisable not to opt for anti-aging products that market themselves as having no side effects because this is one promise that is hard to believe.

8. Don’t be afraid to question the ant-aging products that advertise the need not to consult or visit a physician or a registered dermatologist.

9. Make sure that you consult a doctor before taking any dietary or nutritional supplements or any products that are marketed to lessen the signs and effects of aging.

10. Make sure that you are honest with your doctor about dietary or nutritional supplements that you have or you are taking before you undergo any operation or surgery to avoid further complications.
